Trade: Fender Bassman 250 Head For a Bass

Up for trade is a good condition Fender Bassman 250 head. The Light in the power switch doesn't light up switch is otherwise functional. That's the only problem with this head. It has served me well as a backup and it really sounds awesome.

* -6 dB input pad for high-output basses
* Compressor (fixed threshold, adjustable ratio)
* Room Balance control to compensate for room acoustics
* Contour control with variable scoop applied to mid section for slap-style playing

* XLR output with level control, Pre/Post switch and ground lift switch
* Mute switch with LED

I am a guitar player, not bass. My son is looking to get a little more power for the bass in his band. They have a 100 watt fender rumble combo. I saw a 250 head like this which is rated at 250 watts at 4 ohms. The 2 speaker cabs Fender recommends are both 8 ohms. What would the output be with on of these cabs?

Would be 125 watts into two 8 ohm cabs.
