This is a TB only combination deal on my second big rig that isn't getting any use. I'll be losing about $150 with this offer but I figure I might as well help a fellow TB'er get a wicked tube rig for a great price. I'll be buying a Bag End 410 with the money. That's what's in it for me.
PENDING SALE ALREADY
WHOLE RIG FOR $400 picked up
Peavey Alpha Bass - $250 picked up, $275 shipped

This is a cool head that I got from a fellow TB'er going through a hard time. I was holding it for him until he got things together but it has to hit the market as I'm feeling the bills closing in on me too.
It's a loud tube head (and light at 35ish lbs!) running 160-170w into 2 or 4 ohms. I replaced all three 12AX7 when I received it and it made a world of difference. I dropped in a NOS USA 6021 where a 12AV7 belongs. It does the trick for now. It had an old 12AX7 when I got it. Ew. Anyways, It can get loud. Though, much like an SVT, I don't like it's overdriven tone. That might just be me. I feel like it really shines with dual pickup, naturally scooped basses like a Jazz or a Ric but that's not to say that it can't take a P either.
The head is in no way a looker. However, it's a Peavey so it's built like a tank. It's missing some screws for the top cover. I'll let the pics say the rest.

This is a '98 810 that I got about a year ago. I got it for $80 with 7 damaged and 1 totaled speaker and brought it back to life. See below for the full rundown.
The bad:
-It is an early example of the OSB cabs that left a bad taste in the mouths of Ampeg fans. However, this was made before the (2000?) speaker change that really hurt their rep. I like it's sound, not it's size.
-The four lower drivers are original and repaired by me (front and back of tears) with rubber cement and index paper. Crazy? Yes. But it's held up very, very well!
-It has almost no tolex on the sides or back and is partially spray painted black
The good:
-Four Jensen MOD10-50's I bought a year ago. They open up this cab nicely and compliment the boomier stock speakers.
-I sealed all speakers between the basket and cab. (5 or 6 with foam, 2 or 3 Jensens with duct tape. I was broke!

)
-My cheapie repairs have held up beautifully!
-You needn't be afraid to hurt it any worse than it has been!
Just let me know what you want to offer or trade. I'll be honest, I only have $240 invested in it and I know it's a beater. You want it? I'll only ask 200. That's not bad for a workhorse 810, right?
Very poor live shot of the rig! It looks pretty tough, right?
