Very cool one of a kind tube amp..trade or sell

Sign in to disble this ad
I thought this would be the ultimate amp, and it is, but...its just not quite loud enough, it will hang in with my crazy loud drummer and my guitars Marshall 4x12, buts its really overdriving.

You want tube overdrive? This is the amp. I have tried many OD pedals and they cannot copy the sound from real tubes.

My Traynor Custom special is still hands down the best sounding amp I have and I don't need two monster tube amps.
This one weighs 40 lbs and would love a Montreal-Ottawa sale.
I would trade the head for a Markbass or Shuttle 6.0 with 200$ cash on your end, shipping can be discussed, but its 40lbs and would not be cheap.
I would sell for 800$ and pay half the shipping.
The amp was made in 1990 and was 2000$. The power tubes are NOS GE and I have one spare. Lots of features like tuner out, two DI outs, footswithchable boost, (footswitch included)two effects loops.
Here's a link to my local ad:
The Ultimate low power tube bass amp! - Montréal Musical Instruments For Sale - Kijiji Montréal Canada.

Here's a thread I had about the amp:
I think I just got the best amp ever made!

I can send lots more pics via e-mail

Bump...650$ plus actual shipping.
I did talk to the builder and I found out the amp has more clean headroom than I thought, there are three volumes and he said I should leave the main master at 10. The second will control output and the third will control gain.
I still prefer my Traynor custom special...this one is too much for me, I like it simple and I never use the second channel.

Oh heavens...

I just... man, to hell with the new high-powered micro heads, this thing is powerful-alluring. Any trades interest you? Bump for a thing of beauty!

What's the weight on this gorgeous beast? And/or shipping to 52804, USA?

Bump...still 650$ plus actual shipping, but I can add an extra 4 6550's and a couple of 12ax7's for 50$ extra.

Bump...

Bump because I'm still looking at these pictures every day, and trying to sell a few more pedals to fund my horrible addiction to amps that look this awesome...

So this is a 4 x 6550, 180ish - 200ish watt amp that breaks up and goes into fuzztown?

Yep. Also is class A so you can yank half the tubes out and run it at half power.
This amp is seriously sick!

Its actually only 100 watts, but I bet it could be tweaked for more, the Transformers are huge and it runs really cool...the tubes don't even get really hot.
