Vintage Acoustic Corp 136 Bass Combo

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale today is a vintage Acoustic Control Corp 136 Bass Combo. A great bass amp from 1970's, many people, including pro's and beginners alike love this amp due to it's simplistic design and power full punch. It's also the perfect amp to transport, with properly placed wheels and handle make moving this amp a breeze. It's the perfect blend of power and tone with out scraficing mobility. I have used this combo everywhere from practice, recitals, church, indoor gigs, and outdoor gigs. You will have no trouble filling the bottom end.

The Acoustic 136 is in overall good condition. Everything is original. It has been played a lot over the years but I have always taken care of it. The amp works but make a static hissing noise, it should be looked at, probably needs a new cap. The speaker is in good condition, no rips or tears to speak of. The cabinet has your normal scratches and blemishes all over, nothing unusual for a forty year old cab.

So there you have it, It's a great combo amp. Perfect for anyone and any gig. It's easy enough to move and always taken care of. The controls are simple: Volume, Bass, Treble, and Bright switch.
Just plug into either the high gain or low gain inputs and you are good to go.

Any other questions just ask.
Local pick up only.
If you have a pick service we can work something out and I can ship through the UPS Store, which is not cheap.
Sold as is, no returns.

Killer combo for a Killer price, even if it does need a bit of skilled attention

I had one of these back in the late 70's

If it's in good working condition, it'll cover any room holding up to about 100 people with ease - and that's playing LOUD balls-out Rock & Roll

All solid-state amp section with decent EQ options. 15" speaker combined with the folded horn cab gives you lows to spare. Will keep up with any 50watt guitar amp just fine without breaking a sweat, and will give a Twin Reverb a run for its money under most circumstances. Casters are removable, which comes in handy at times. I remember the weight/size as being quite manageable (for a young whippersnapper ), especially when compared to combo amps of similar vintage and capabilities

Well I played a gig with it last week. The Combo works perfectly with a passive bass. It starts crackle and pop when I used a active bass. So It works just not with active basses.

I've got one of those. It's bad ass.
In fact, a friend of mine borrowed it to sit next to his old 360 for a Sabbath show. He forgot to unmute his tuner that was going into his 360 and played half the show only using my amp. No body noticed until he mentioned it later on. Those things are loud.

I used a 136 head through a 402 cab for many years. The extra 15" speaker made this a very loud amp. ...reliable as a tank as well. It's nice to see one of these in such nice shape and it should last many more years.
