I beleive it is from 1971. This is the original style SVT cab, when it was known simply as the "SVT". It is the straight back, before casters or the towel bar were introduced. All 8 speakers are the original CTS speakers, all in great condition, with two of them being professionally reconed at Orange County Speaker.
The cab is in decent physical condition considering its about 40 years old, with only a few tears in the tolex, and a little rust on the corners. However, it performs perfectly, and sounds great...no issues at all soundwise. The front cover is in good shape with one minor tear, and still has the metal Ampeg logo. The back still has the original XLR style input. I have a cable that I'll include which has an XLR end on one side and a 1/4" end on the other.
This will be for local pickup only in Southern California. I am located in the city of Fontana, about an hour east of Los Angeles. Any questions, feel free to ask.
Price: $500 SOLD!!!
Trades for other gear may be considered, but I do not need another cab.

They have attachment hardware for a caster cart on the bottom and fliptops sells repro carts for like $100. I have one for mine, but they're a little wobbly on the carts. Mine came to me with casters bolted into the side, makes it easier to roll around and move alone. These really are the best 8x10 cabs, hands down. |

I paid $125 for my empty cabinet, and then had 8 of these speakers shipped to me- total cost over $1000. This is a STEAL. I've driven 2000miles each way to pick up gear before, don't make me do it again. |

| | | | Looks like a nice cab. My brother lives in Irvine. I guess he could stash it in his garage. Is the cab still available? |

These cabinets are the REAL DEAL. Totally amazing sound. You want vintage? It won't get any better than this. Honestly, I can't believe someone hasn't bought this yet. |
