Vintage Eden VT-.40 (Demeter pre) 400 watts, two-tube

The amp that put Eden on the map. From the very tubey valve-tech series. James Demeter designed the two-tube preamp. It has a lot of similarities as my old VTBP-201, except the eq is much more subtle. It has a great sounding DBX-style compressor. Comes with rack case, power strip, and speaker cable. $550 shipped CONUS.

i have one, and the eq doesnt change the sound a lot but no need for that anyway, the sound from this head comes warm , balanced... no need to EQ' a lot or anything... sounds just right if you are looking for that...
dont think about it too much or i'll buy it eventually good luck

400 watts. I'm really looking for cash, but I would consider certain effect pedals, certain microphones, and acoustic preamps (Baggs Para DI, Fishman Bass Platinum...)

Bump for a great amp. The EQ is subtle; IRRC, it is highly interactive. But these put out some great sound.

I've been getting some bites. I can also sell w/o the rack case for a reduced price.

Will consider trades for an ADA8000, SM7b, RE20, or a matched pair of SDCs.

It's really light - somewhere between 15-20 lbs.

I guess I should have said "really light for its size".

bump - One without a rack case just sold for $500 + shipping on eBay. Mine is $500 shipped if you don't want the rack case.
