I'm opening this back up as of now after much consideration. As much as I LOVE the sound of this bad boy, it's just too friggin loud for what I do, and I finally realized this playing on a relatively large stage with some LOUD guitar players. Between the Epi and my DB750, not to mention the thunderous tones of my Pentabuzz and MTD535, I was damn near burying everyone and had too much stage volume. That, and I'm starting to appreciate the tone of my smaller, all Aguilar setup where I use the DB750 and GS112. Great sound. I"m going for 2 GS112's for 99% of my gigs, with a 3rd thrown in for 'maximum bowel realignment'. So, a few things about this: I'll do straight across on two GS112's in good condition, especially if they have covers. Or, I'll do one GS112 and some cash my way ($300) I am however willing to drive to the following areas to meet someone:
Ft. Smith, AR
Dallas/Ft.Worth, TX
Amarillo, TX
Wichita, KS
Also, I should mention that I'll throw in an Epifani-issued amp cover, and that I only want $700 for this lightweight bruiser.
Thanks for lookin, and here's some pics: |

I was astounded at how good they sound that way. I've got 4 of 'em and I've tried just about every variation there is and that is, by far, the best sounding configuration. For some reason the 3 stacked that way sound even bigger than the 4 in every room I've tried it in.
Gotta admit I'm thinking how much I'd like a 410UL...

I love the sound, there not the lightest but not bad by any means to carry, and the beauty of having a modular rig are all compellling reasons. Still, this Epi cab is beautiful sounding and ultra-portable, so if no one steps up with some GS112's, I'll take that as a sign from the Bass Gods that I should keep it.

I'm not in the market for an Epifani, though. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case you're interested. |
