Yamaha 2x10 cabinet is SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Yamaha 2x10 cab (the BBT210S recently discontinued) in excellent condition, 4 ohms, I think it's rated at 250 watts. Great-sounding cab, compact design, 46 lbs. Unfortunately, I now need an 8 ohm cabinet to match up with the amp I just acquired.

I attached some rubber feet to one side so I could use it in vertical mode, and also relocated the nameplate. These mods could be easily reversed.

Asking $270 shipped in the CONUS. Also would be open to trade offers - I need a lightweight 2x10, 1x12, 1x15 - 8 ohm only. Nemesis 2x10 or 1x15 would be ideal, Aguilar GS112NT would be great too. Anyone interested?

Unfortunately, Yamaha did not publish the specifications for these speakers. So, I don't know the sensitivity. Some of the more speaker-tech oriented guys discussed the T-S parameters of the 4 ohm version of this speaker in another thread
which is here.

I haven't compared it with another cabinet to determine relative volume. I just know it sounds good.

I forgot to mention this particular cabinet is from the Duke's Closet PRIVATE VAULT and all the plywood is aged between 8 - 20+ weeks. The cabinet was built by Bob Yamaha, the founder of Yamaha. The "BBT" series of cabinets were named in honor of Bob and Alice Yamaha's first born son, Billy Bob Todd Yamaha. The Duke's Closet cabinets are much more costly, rarer and much more valuable than the AccuGroove, Epifani, Bergantino, and Glockenklang cabinets! ALL the plywood came from Home Depot and is TOP of the line. This cabinet has not one, but TWO speakers! This way you get the FULL tone of ALL the plywood with BOTH speakers and it makes for unparalleled sustain.
