I have an extra neck. It says "Precision" but it was off a p/j bass, and I believe this is more of a jazz neck. It feels slimmer, that's for sure. It measure 1.5 inches at the nut, and 2.5 inches at the heel. It's in great shape! Rosewood. Looks sharp.
When I first got the bass, it was horrible. I think it had been sitting, unplayed, for a very long time. I did a set up, and the only bad thing was a buzz on the second fret of the A string. I thought "oh crap what did I do?" But when I put the neck on the Thunderbird body, put on a set of chromes, and tuned it up, no more buzz. In fact, I could have the action ridiculously low (too low for my heavy fat fingers).
