'73 Fender P neck. I'm trying to fund a new upright bass purchase, so I have to make some sacrifices, including this beautiful neck. I found it in a closet at my school on a junk body, and I made a Franken-Fender out of it. There is wear along the edges of the fretboard, as expected. The frets are in decent condition, with most of the wear occuring on the first 5 frets (not many people played much past there back in the 70's I guess haha). Tuners and neck plate are original and come included. There is no major damage to any area of the neck, and the truss rod is fully functional. I will have more pictures up soon, just send me a PM with any questions.
Some answers to potential questions:
Price:
I can't find any other necks to really compare it to, so I'll just throw it out here as $500 (price very negotiable, pm me)
Truss Rod:
The truss rod is in great condition, I don't think the neck has seen much use at all in the last 20 years. It was in a gig bag in my school's closet.
Condition:
There is no warping or bowing in the neck. It is definitely a players neck, even 35 years later. The mounting holes are all original (4), none of them are stripped. It has never had any repairs by me, or any that I can see.
Size:
I'm not sure about the width, but if it helps, the serial # is 508819.
