Up for sale is my 1981 G&L L1000 body in translucent red. I believe it's made of ash. It weighs in on the bathroom scale at 7-7.5 lbs. It appears to be all original, with the slotted pole piece pickup and large chrome knobs. I tested this with an SB2 neck (which turned out to be a basket case... see my other for sale post) and it sounded AMAZING. I didn't open it up to see the state of the wiring or anything but everything appears to be functional and as original in terms of the operation of the electronics. It came to me with no strap buttons. I ordered OEM ones from G&L and installed them. There's a few blips in the finish, most notably a chip near the neck pocket and another on the horn (see photos). There's a few other nicks and bumps here and there but nothing too major. The finish is cracked, but from what I've read this is expected with G&L's from this era. I will include the original neck plate as well.
I've been searching around a bit for a neck to fit it but I'm having no luck and truth be told I'm a little gun-shy after getting bit on that other neck.
I'm looking to get $450 shipped to the lower 48 for this body.
