1989 EBMM Stingray PARTS: Birdseye neck, mute bridge, 2-band preamp & pickup, body. Everything SOLD, all to the same person for reassembly. The "Stingray Gods" have forgiven me. All parts are all original. Bass build date was 12/20/89. All prices include shipping within the continental U.S. Paypal preferred. Birdseye neck: Stunning! More like buttery cat's eye. Original tuners. 4 bolt pattern.
Frets are in really good shape, and the trussrod works perfectly.
1 little small nick behind the 9th fret, and 1 small dent on the top of the 1st fret (playing hand never even touches there anyway): $650 2-band EQ with control plate and pickup. Screws included: $250 SOLD Mute bridge: Excellent condition, mute foam is not original though. Screws included: $250 Body, unloaded. "Roadworn" look. Various scratches, dings, and top poly coat worn in 2 large spots. No wood missing. Strap holders and chrome battery cover attached: Could use a good refinishing: $350 SOLD

This instrument is vintage now, and will increase in value. My late 80's sterling that looked slightly used sold for $850 at elderly in 99, and they go for $1000 or more a few years later. Features like 2 band, bridge mutes, birdseye and other features taht are only found on these models go for higher.
I would love to pick this bass up and refinish it but I think money is too tight at the moment. Even if the neck needs heat pressing to get the truss right, with these late 80's features it's worth it.

I'm suffering from the "Broken Hand Blues" right now. Bored, and wanted to just move the bass along. Parting it is kind of fun, since I'm so bored and can't play. Arghhhhhh!
The stunning neck and mute bridge are still available. |

| | | | Don, I stand corrected; you are a marketing genius.
Never would have thought that parting out an Ernie SR would go far; well done mate! |
