1990 G&L SB-2 project bass $200 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
1990 G&L SB-2 Project bass, neck has an upward bow,but otherwise neck looks great -no tuners,3 bolt neck plate missing, neck pocket and pg widened slightly and drilled for 4 bolt (neck not drilled), 3 bolt plate would cover extra holes in the body, truss rod works fine. Body dated Jan 3 1990, neck- March 9 1990. Electronics work great (passive). PG has sticker residue and sharpie marker. Fix it, use it for parts...whatever!! short money for a vintage G&L..$200 shipped conus. Glad to answer any questions.

time to unload some projects!! If this doesn't sell complete, I'll consider parting it out. so...place your dibs on the parts...

thanks!!

I want it... but can't do another project now

Someone will buy this before I could even think to adopt it. A G&L for USED SQUIER money?!?!? This is insanity!

Would you elaborate a little more on the neck bow? Should I assume that the truss is frozen/broken, and that's why you mention the bow (and modded for a fender fit)?

Thanks!

not sure what's up with the neck bow, but I assume that is why the fender neck mod was done..yeah, it's a bummer, but not so bad it couldn't be hidden. The truss rod seems to work fine. I'm guessing the bow could be removed by a skilled luthier, clamps and some heat.
.....not gonna be me though!! Like I said, time to clear out some projects
