What is its' scale and is it a 3-2 headstock or a 4-1 headstock. Either head stock config should be good. I do 2.5-3 times around the peg plus a bend and insert as deep as possible into the tuner.

I don't think the A string would work for you.
Sorry.

How would you compare the Rotos to the Chromes? I have Chromes on several basses (2 Pbasses and a G&L L2k) and really like them.

The chromes are blurrier. The rotos have a woody more stand up sound. I play very soft(hours a day and no calluses on the right hand) so that may just be because of the way I play.

I use roto 77s 4 strings on my ibanez srx590 and I like em, with the dual Hs they have a nice sound to em, and I can play for days without sore fingers. Got to see how I am playing rounds after using the rotos for the past month or so LOL. I would put em on my 5 but, the 5 was bought for some nu metal projects. so I figured i would try the chromes and nickels to see what sounds better for that style.
