5 black hipshot ultralight 'style' tuners, Y key

Sign in to disble this ad
These came off a bass i owned recently (i replaced them with usa hipshots). They are still swappable to change configuration (you just need a small hex wrench). i believe they're 3/8" but i'll have to double check. they look just like ultralights, but are not branded with the hipshot name. they work just like the hipshots i put on the bass, though.

$75 $60 shipped

these are not hipshot tuners, even though they look and act like hipshots

they're not hipshots, but they are interchangeable between sides just like hipshots. i don't have pics, but they look just like hipshots except they don't say hipshot, lol.

can't edit original post anymore bump.

they have 3/8" posts and the sleeve is ~9/16" so the hole in the headstock would have to be ~9/16" wide.

here's a pic of the lot...each one has paint missing where the strings wind on.

Those very well could be US Hipshot tuners. There were several versions, some of which did not sport the Hipshot logo. For example, the gold tuners on my Cirrus (purchased directly from Hipshot) and chrome satins on the Mike Lull have no markings. You may want to forward this thread or pics to Jason Ungelich @ Hipshot for verification. IME, they look too good (not to mention reversible) to be knock-offs.

...but I've been wrong before. Just ask my wife.

Hate to see you underestimate what you really have on hand. Believe me, I've installed, serviced, and reversed enough of these things. Even the retainer / nut orientation is correct (its female); the Lic'd imports are male.

~$60 is a heckuva nice price, too. I'd snag 'em but everything I have now is chrome.
