5 String Part-Out: FS Warmoth Neck, TonePump and more

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm parting out a 5 string bass.

What I have left:
Warmoth ALL BEM neck (shaft & fretboard) with a LOT of birdseye figuring-includes 4 mounting screws and metal ferrules. $260 240shipped with either set of tuners included(black or gold) OR $225 shipped with no tuners-buyers choice. If the buyer wants the neck with the gold tuners, they will not be installed. I'll pull the black ones and pack the gold ones in the box with the neck.

Gold/black bridge w/gold mounting screws. I thought it was a Hipshot and it sure LOOKS like one, but I cant find an identifying mark on it. it does allow for top loading OR through-body stringing- $30 shipped OR will trade this straight up for an equivalent all-black 4 string bridge

Gold straplocks-unknown brand-$1210 shipped

Gold 3x2 tuners-no brand name but they look like Gotoh's- $30 25shipped -also-if the buyer for the neck chooses to buy it with no tuners installed, I will sell the black ones for the same price

Spector TonePump pre. Has 3 pots attached and a 4th one included, also includes a jack but no battery clip. I got this in trade with the idea of throwing it in my SX but I've decided to keep the bass passive. no knobs included- $30 shipped

Pics:
first 3 of the neck:

Bridge:

Straplocks:

Gold tuners:

TonePump:

All prices are OBO and I ship CONUS ONLY!!!!!!

I accept Paypal or USPS money order only unless you are local (CT, Eastern NY, Western MA, RI). Then we can come up with a better price and I will accept cash.

Other than the black 4 string bridge, theres really no other trade bait I'm interested in. I prefer cash sales.

BUT if you have a POG pedal plus some cash, I'd consider that for the neck.

Sorry about not having a pick of the fretboard. I didnt realize until later that the pic I took of it came out fuzzy for some reason. The FB has plenty of birdseye figure and it has either MOP Or abalone dot markers. (I can never tell one from the other). I'll try to retake a shot of the FB and add it in.

Tonepump question

Does the tonepump have the output trim feature? If it does, I will be happy to take it.

I dont know about that. The pic shows everything that comes with it and I never had this installed anywhere. I got it in a trade with the idea of dropping it into my SX but I decided to leave the bass passive and move the pre along.

I'll look into it when I get home, as well as getting some measurements on the neck.

OK, to answer the 2 questions:
the neck is JUST under 2" at the nut-looks like 1 15/16th to my eyes but it could be 1 7/8ths which is the most common size for Warmoth necks.
and its just under 3" at the 22nd and final fret-again it looks to be 2 15/16ths. Basically, this neck seems to me to be a Deluxe 5 with some custom options.

And buying it brand new with an all BEM shaft AND fretboard with MOP or abalone inlay dots would run you close to $350.

As far as the preamp is concerned, I checked it again and there are no additional pots or anything on the outside of the casing that looks anything like a trimpot to me.

EDIT: I forgot to add- I have a mega-busy weekend so I probably wont be able to answer any PM's until late on Sunday. Dont think I'm ignoring you, I just wont be online very much.

Bump for a couple of lowered prices. I realized the math was kinda fuzzy on the price difference on the loaded neck vs UNloaded neck.

Price on loaded neck dropped to $240

Tuners lowered to $25/set

Straplocks dropped to $10

*headslap* Crap! I forgot all about that little detail.

I'll get to work on that right now!

As requested/promised- 3 pics of the BEM fretboard (for some reason the frets drive the autofocus on my camera NUTS!):

22 fret neck. Abalone dots? OK if you say so- I cant tell abalone from MOP.

The body? It was an after-aftermarket all-mahogany body that looked like a Warmoth Gecko.

Are the saddles of that bridge adjustable for string spacing?

Sorry I didnt see this last night...
I'm at work now so I dont have the bridge handy. But looking at the pic, its possible but there wouldnt be much wiggle room involved.

I'll try to get a closer look tonight.

Does not appear to be the case. Each saddle has a small stud on the bottom of it that goes into a corresponding groove in the baseplate that seems to keep it in place. Also-there's very little space for the saddles to move side to side.

Cmon guys! No one has a black 4 string bridge or a POG pedal to trade???

How about a few more pedals like a distortion/oberdrive, envelope filter and/or octaver??

Bump for some lowered prices:

Loaded neck (with either set of tuners black or gold) $225

UNloaded neck (no tuners but string tree stays) $215

Tuners now $20/set

Bridge now $25 or trade for all-black 4 string bridge

TonePump now $25

I could also use a POG pedal or some combination of an octaver, envelope filter and distortion in trade for the unloaded neck.

I cant make the edits to the OP at work- I'll fix that post when I get home later tonight.

TTT

Update- the TonePump pre has been traded.

Tuners, bridge, straplocks, & neck all still available!

Dont forget- I'm looking for some trades as well- I'll trade either set of tuners for an set of 4 black Fender-style tuners to fit my SX PJ.

I'll also trade the gold/black 5 string bridge for an all black 4 stringer!

I would also trade the neck for some effects pedals- I'm looking for an envelope filter, chorus, distortion and octaver.
