Alder J body Reduced to $65

Time to get rid of an unused/unfinished alder body. I had this made by John Suhr but never got around to doing the project. It needs some final sanding, has a tiny bit of filler where his router slipped around the neck pup and the center seam shows slightly on the back. This would be a fine body for a solid or darker/translucent finish but I wouldn't go natural. 60's spacing.
Get it out of my closet for $65 shipped in the original carton. It is what it is so no returns.

Sorry for the blurry pics but you get the idea. I think the ground rout for the bridge is done but not the mounting holes. No biggie.

Yes. Note that the holes aren't drilled. Use the neck plate as a template. Pics added to clarify the pocket size.

Clink - is that a type-O up top? Did you mean to say that it was made by John Suhr? (orig. post spelling is J Shur)

Also, did you special order the body? I ask because I don't see any links on the Suhr website for ordering bodies, necks, etc.

I'm 'on the fence' about modifying a current bass or doing a new build from scratch, in which case I might be interested in your J body...

Sorry, I just saw your post. Yes, I special ordered this from John about two years ago and paid him about $150 for it. Unfortunately, it took him almost a year to complete it and I had already moved on with the project. It's a nice two piece body with good grain but it really isn't quite done. It needs some final sanding, to have the neck and bridge mounting holes drilled. In an hour or two I think it's done. It has been sitting in my closet in the original box and just needs to go bye-bye. Paypal to gdclink@yahoo.com if you want to proceed. PM or email in the future as I don't check in like I should.

Clink - thanks for posting back. I have decided not to take on another build at this moment - need to clear out my own closets and consolidate things a bit first. So I'll be passing on the J body.

Hope it sells for you soon - BUMP!
