ATTN: Pedal Builders! Aluminum Enclosure sale!

Sign in to disble this ad
EVERYTHING ON HOLD!

Possible deal pending for all my stuff - I will post in this thread once it is resolved (one way or the other.)

Hey, folks - I've been sitting on a pile of aluminum enclosures for a few years and chances are I'm not going to be using them. My loss = your gain.

I have several of most of these, and lots of a few of them.

1. New Sensor "BB" sized boxes.

Size: 4.70" x 3.70" x 1.17"D - these are used by tons of boutique builders. Easily fit up to 5 knobs and two footswitches in these guys.

Here's what you can do with one:

Small Bear Electronics sells these for $8.25 each, shipping not included. I'll do them for $12 shipped CONUS, 2 for $20, 3 for $26. Probably have about twenty of these to sell.

2. New Sensor 1690NS boxes

Size: 4.70"x3.70"x2.22"D - these are like the 1590's but deeper (taller.) You can fit the same number of knobs and switches on 'em, but since they're tall you can put all kinds of crap in them. These are pretty huge. Here's a pic of one I did up a few years back:

See? Lots of knobs. This one has two vacuum tubes in it, so it's a nice big box.

$15 each shipped CONUS. Probably have about 8 of them to sell.

Coming soon: oddball boxes.

I have a whole bunch of weirdo boxes with paint, messed up silkscreen, etc. that I'll sell cheap. Very cheap. Stay tuned.

PayPal OK by me. PM for details on larger quantities.

Adding some stuff:

ODDBALL BOXES / BOO-BOO BOXES / MISFITS...

Shipping on all these boxes is as follows: $5 for one, $7 for two, $9 for 3, $11 for as many as I can cram in a flat-rate box.

All of these are oddballs in some way - for most of these, probably best to scrape off the paint or maybe scuff it up and paint over.

3. Mis-drilled Jubilee Silver Overdrive pedal boxes.

These are built in NS 1590NS boxes, painted silver with black silkscreen. The silkscreen is very unevenly done, and the holes are definitely not lined up correctly. Drilled for two footswitches, two LED's, five pots, four 1/4" jacks, one DC jack. None of these are great, but they're all serviceable. Fun fact - all the pots are mis-screen as "GAIN." GAIN, GAIN, GAIN, GAIN, GAIN! That one was my fault, but the drilling and crappy silkscreening is the fault of the guy I had do these. I haven't used him since...
They're very shiny, but that's about the best you can say about them. I have THREE of these to sell. $3 each plus shipping.

4. Mis-drilled "Echo Echo" Delay pedal boxes

Same situation as #3 - ugly. These are drilled for two switches, two LED's, four pots, two jacks, and one DC jack. Again, mis-drilled, mis-screened, and mis-fit. Dark red paint, supposed to be white silkscreen. THREE to sell $3 each plus shipping

7. Drilled and Painted 1590BB

Drilled and painted enclosure. Six 5/16" holes on the top for pots, one 5/16" hole for LED, 1/2" for stomp switch. End has two 3/8" holes for 1/4" jacks, one 1/2" hole for DC power jack. Good condition, paint is black hammertone. $7 plus shipping.

10. Drilled 1590B size box - A/B or similar

Drilled, unpainted 1590B sized New Sensor box. Has holes in the top for two LED's (mounting rings included,) and one stomp switch. Right side has one hole for 1/4" jack, left side has two holes. Was probably an A/B box at one time. No DC power jack drilled. Good shape, not painted. $5 plus shipping.

12. C&K USA DPDT Switches

Whole bunch of these to sell. These go in a 1/4" and are super-high quality. Small Bear is getting $3.85 for Taiwan-made switches like this, these are late '80s vintage but pristine. Gold-plated solder lugs, bat-handle toggle. Include a serrated washer and nut (not shown.) I'll include two switch nuts with each one purchased until I run out - I may not have enough of them for two on each so first come, first serve. 4 for $10, 10 for $20. Shipping on these is free with any box, otherwise $4 for any quantity.

13. Xicon 1uf 25v electrolytic caps

Whole bunch of these, too - around 500. Typical electrolytic caps, good quality. 10 for $1, or take the whole bag for $10. Might not be exactly 500 in there but pretty close. I'll give first dibs on this one to someone who wants the whole bag...

14. Yellow LED's

I wrote a song, wrote a song for you / for all the things you do / these LED's were all yellow... Nothing special, just regular 5mm yellow LED's. Bunch of them, too. Whole bag for $5.

15. Germanium Diodes - ON HOLD

Basically 1N34A's - a few to sell. 3 for $1.

16. 1/4" mono jacks - SOLD.

17. Princeton PT2399 Delay ICs

About 15 to sell. These are the ubiquitous PT2399, used in many DIY designs. I don't know how good these are, they might be noisy. In fact, I'm pretty sure they are noisy, especially at longer delay times. Unfortunately, I'm out of delay boards so I can't test or sort these. Kind of a potluck on these, so asking $2 each (half price.)

18. Poly film caps - 0.1uf

Typical "chiclet" green poly caps in 0.1uf. Whole bag (100) for $8.

SHIPPING PRICES - in CONUS, I'll be doing USPS Priority Flat rate boxes. Big box of stuff is right at $10. Anything over 3 lbs (3 boxes or so) will be $10 shipped. Less than that is by weight, between 5 and 7 bucks. Best buy would be 4 boxes or more so we can ship flat rate.

I'm doing a bunch of shipping tomorrow (Sat.) morning, so if you order and pay today or tomorrow before 10 am EST I can probably get this stuff mailed immediately.

19. Steel Pedal Cases...

OK, these are the last 10 or so of the original Pharaoh Amps Class-A Boost enclosures. I built something like 100 boost pedals in these boxes before I went to the "125B" aluminum enclosures. They're Steel City outlet boxes for NM cable, and come with clamps for securing Romex or some other non-metallic cable. They're square with welded corners, around 4" x 4" x 1.5" and are very strong. They are pre-drilled for three 25mm pots (5/16" holes,) one footswitch (1/2",) and one LED in a metal bezel (5/16".) The back edge is drilled for two 1/4" jacks (3/8" holes) and one 9V DC jack (1/2") They look very "industrial" and are about as tough as they look. Back covers attach with two screws. I have around 10 of these to sell, and they're all painted with light blue hammertone enamel. The hammertone doesn't adhere to the steel very well, so they're chipped and scratched as you can see in the photos. Asking $3 each plus shipping.

20. Double-Switch Steel Box

Same as above, but this one has two footswitch holes, one LED (center) and no DC jack on the back panel. $3 plus shipping.

21. Orange Box

Orange-painted 125B sized box (about 4.3" x 2.1" x 1.5") with one 1/4" jack hole on the left side, 4 more on the back, and one 5/16" hole for a 25mm pot on the top. Back has adhesive residue from a removed Pharaoh Amps label. $3 plus shipping.

Mix and match for instant pedal building fun! Makes a great gift, too!

Is that going to be it? Or should we wait for more for our quantity orders?

Just to let other buyers know, the 12. C&K USA DPDT Switches are ON-ON DPDT switches, no ON-OFF-ON DPDTs.
Still cool though! I got 4 shipped hella quickly and they work!

Great deals, good dude.
