I'm gauging interest here. I just put this together for my jazz bass and then got an offer for a JZ3D that I can't pass up. So, this one has to go.
I got this from Rockosocko last week. I mounted it on a jazz plate that I already had, used a little bit of 3M fake steel wool to knock back the chrome shine a bit and then also used it to knock back the bright black of the knobs. It's not a true "relicing," it just takes off the shine that makes it seem out of place on an older bass.
Controls are vol, blend, treb/bass stacked, high mid/low mid stacked.
ALSO, when I mounted it on the jazz plate, the knobs were raised above the plate and looked out of place. I fashioned some nylon spacers from material at the hardware store to make sure that the knobs are flush with the plate.
The work done on this may not be for everyone, but I think it makes the whole thing fit in on a jazz a lot better than it would otherwise.
I put some work into this and it is 100% operational and ready to drop in to your jazz bass.
Would sell without the plate if you prefer. Can also probably switch chrome knobs for the black ones with the JZ3D that is on its way to me.
