Bartolini 59CBJS L/S Single Coil 5 String Jazz Pickups

Sign in to disble this ad
Here is a nice set of Bartolini 5 string Jazz pickups, 59CBJS, single coil, deep tone. I bought these last December to upgrade my Brubaker Brute with beautiful results until I decided to convert it from single coil to MM humbucker.

Pickups work fine and have plenty of lead wire. Cosmetically they look like used pickups! The only thing out of the ordinary is that a piece of one of the covers broke off at the mounting screw when I was installing them. I epoxied it back on and never had a problem. It looks goofy, but it's solid. You could probably go over it with a black sharpie and never notice it.

These are long enough for 5 string, but would work just as well for 4 string as long as the measurements are what you need.

This is a long/short set, 3.6" and 3.73".

I can also throw in some 250k pots if you need some.

$65 shipped. Paypal preferred!

About the only trade I would consider would be for a 5 string, black (or black/chrome), 19mm spaced bridge. Hipshot A or B would be great.

I do.
...do you think I could use these to replace some stock MECs in a Warwick Thumb('03), without any modification?
Thanks

As long as the measurements are the same, and the MEC's are passive, it shouldn't be a problem!

I actually think they are active....forgive me for not knowing, but would these NOT work because of that? I don't know as much about pickups as I thought...thx

Yes if you have active pickups, you'll need to replace them with active pickups (EMG is about your only option).

If you have passive pickups with an active preamp, these will work fine.

These won't fit in a Fender V MIM will they? I think they're too small.

I think it depends on what day of the week it is as to what size pickups Fender puts in their basses!

Here are the measurements:

You're probably right about that.

I think I might need the 105 & 101 mm sizes based on another For Sale thread here on TB.
