Just bought this set of pups to drop into a 5502. This is a brand new set that was pro-installed just to check'em out and compare to my other Nordstrand/Audere loaded 5502. After playing, listening and comparing I've decided to install some nordies in this 5502 as well. This set was bought from Bestbassgear.com the jazz pup was $75.00, I'm asking $65.00-shipped. The MM was $105, I'm asking $95.00 shipped. Buy the set for $150.00. They'll both come with original packaging and instructions.
Jazz Pup - Neck 59CBJD LN1
These are split coil hum-cancelling designs. They have bright Neck tone and deep Bridge tone. These pickups are wound to yield much more "growl" from the Bridge pickup. They are very similar in tone to the old Bartolini 94J 4 string pickups, just ever so slighlty brighter at the bridge. Tonally, these have stronger lows and low mids than the typical "vintage" tone. MM Pup - DL5CBC - Classic Bass Series Dual Coil Humbucker
Length = 117mm ( 4.60" )
Width = 48mm ( 1.90" )
These fit some Lakland® and Tobias® basses.
DL5CBC - Classic Bass Series Dual Coil Humbucker
"Classic Bass" CB series bass pickups feature an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics.
