Bartolini Thunderbird Pickups

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is a set of Bartolini Thunderbird Pickups. I bought these pickups brand new, installed them for recording one time and then removed them from the bass. These pickups sound much better than the originals with more lows and highs and an overall cleaner sound. Why am I selling them if they sound so good? I decided to sell the T-bird I had them in and re-installed the original pickups for sale. Anyway, price is only $130 via Paypal.

Are these Passive Pickups?

I have a '92 Gibson Les Paul that is basically a T-Bird in a Sexy Body! I love the Mahogany Sound, but the stock pups are on the MUDDY side...

Remsouille - Yes, the pickups are still available.

Mad Anthony 59 - Yes, they are passive and will definitely clean up your muddy problem. (Same problem I had)

Hmmm...3 Screw Holes? Was that an issue when installing? Does it come with screws?

Wierd isn't it? Bartolini designs pickups specifically for this bass and adds another screwhole? Doesnt make sense. Anyway, yes you need to adapt your bass for the extra screw. I had my tech install them and he said it wasnt a problem. No screws are supplied.

The only logo is the Bartolini name inscribed on the pickups.

Hello
How did they behave when recording? I'm having a new bass made (shortscale with a 17mm bridge spacing - smaller than the average .19mm). So I need smaller pups.

I play rock and blues, so I presume these pups are good for that? Would they be best with a preamp?

Would you ship to Canada? $130 US shipped?

Louise

Yes, I'll ship them to Canada for $130 US.
I never received a pm from you. Please try again.

When recording, the pickups have more lows and highs and an overall cleaner sound. These pickups should work well in your new bass. Rock and blues are a great match for these pickups. I've never played them with a preamp so I really couldnt comment to that question.
