Bass Fitness by Josquin des Pres (1991, Paperback) - $5
Excercises are in both tab and standard notation. Exercises start easy and gradually become very challenging.

Simplified Sight-Reading for Bass by Josquin des Pres (1997, Paperbook/CD combo) - $8.
Lots of exercises and instruction in reading standard notation and rhythms. Written for 4-string bass players. Includes exercises cover all 4 strings, interval exercises, patterns in all 12 major keys, etc.
The book is in very good condition, some pencil marks. The CD is in excellent condition.
Xtreme Bass by Bunny Brunel (2005, Paperback/CD combo) - $8
Bunny is a well known educator and bass player (Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, CAB, etc). This book is Bunny’s bass guitar teaching method. Covers all scale types, patterns within the scales, grooves using the scales, and correlation between scales and chords for accompaniment and soloing. For both 4- and 5-string bass players. Written in tablature and standard notation.
The book is in very good condition with some pencil/pen marks in the book. CD is in excellent condition.
The Working Bassist’s Tool Kit by Ed Friedland (2001, Paperback/CD) - $10
This book/CD combo are essentially brand new. I never got around to studying from it. The CD has never been removed from its sleeve. Ed is a well known educator, player, magazine article writer and bass instruction book author. This book covers lots of topics that are pertinent to being a working bass player, especially a sub. Topics covered include Keeping Time, Navigating a Chart, Ear Training, How to Survive at a Gig (Fakin’ It, Jazz Survival, How to Get a Freelance Gig), Specialized Skills (5-string, Chords, Thumb Playing), etc.
