SOLD***

****SOLD
- Basslines STC-3A preamp. The 'A' means it's meant for active pickups, and the '3' means it's 3-band. It also comes w/ 100K pot (Blend), 50K double pot (Vol), 100K stacked pot (B & T), and a 10K push-pull pot (Mids). It also comes w/ the battery clip. SOLD****

These were mounted in a Korean Spector NS-2 and it sounded SWEEEEEET! That bass's tone had BALLS! The p/up covers are in excellent condition, they each have at least 11" of lead left and the pots are already wired for the most part. The preamp also has clip-in wire harnesses. = minimal soldering.

Prices:

(The pickups new run about $60 each and the preamp runs about $120.)

P p/up: $45 (sold)
J p/up: $45 $35 $30
Preamp: $75 $65 $55 (sold)

The Jazz p/up and preamp together: $90

Prices include shipping in the CON US. I'll also ship internationally.

Bump for a sweet deal.

I have the same kind of pickups in my Squier but I paid $150 for the p-pickup and $65 for the j-pickup.

I don't mean to derail the thread, but is there a way I could distinguish between the preamp meant for active pickups and the one for passive? Because I just got a bass with the seymour duncan preamp and and duncan active pickups.

On the wiring diagram for the Duncan STC preamps, it says:

"What’s the difference?
The STC-3P and STC-2P are
designed for use with passive
pickups. The STC-3A and STC-2A
are designed for use with active
pickups. The main difference between
the P-models and the A-models is the
value of the blend control. The
P-models use a 250k blend, and the
A-models use a 100k blend. The 3P
and 3A models are both 3-band tone
circuits which, in addition to the
master volume and blend controls,
have midrange, bass, and treble (the
bass and treble are combined on a
stacked pot). The 2P and 2A models
are both 2-band tone circuits, and do
not have a midrange control---just bass
and treble (stacked)."

It's in really fine print and isn't the easiest to find, especially on the online pdf.

So basically, yours will be active if your blend pot is 100K.

Thanks

Dan
