Beautiful Warmoth Tele-Bass Body with Fralin Pickups- Rosewood, Mahogony, Pearloid

Hi-

I have for sale this lovely custom Warmoth body and set of Fralin pickups. The body was $420 plus shipping (unfinished), and the pickups were $230.

I finished the body with a tru-oil finish, nicely rubbed out to a satin sheen. It really is a beautiful body. The top is Indian rosewood, the back is mahogany, and it is bound with pearloid. Check out the photos. The body is un-used, so it is in excellent condition. There may be a few very small imperfections, but nothing you would notice without very close scrutiny. It is essentially new.

The pickups are both from Lindy Fralin. The original P-bass style pickup is a split humbucker, and the Jazz Bridge is a single-coil. I used 0000 steel wool to take the shine off of the plastic cover of the J-pickup. It looks great, like a black key on a piano. If you aren't into it I'll find you a shiny one. The pickups are unused.

This combo was quite expensive, and I don't want to give it away, but I know what is custom perfection to one guy may not be for another. New with shipping and finishing, it would cost about $850. I'm going to price this combo at $350 Firm including shipping. I won't sell it for any lower than that.
Check out my feedback. Bumps are appreciated. PM or post any questions.

The cocobolo (or is it bubinga?) neck will be listed in a separate sale thread.

Gorgeous bass. Wish it was in the cards right now. Really dig the styling.

It looks like there's no side jack, right? Just the top drilled?

Thanks for the nice comments. I've had a couple of people ask about separating the body from the Fralin pickups. For now, I'm going to keep it all together. The price is very good, and I don't want to end up keeping the pickups.

Sorry I didn't get a photo of it, but there is a side jack. So, there are three holes for pots.

I have yet to list it. I've been quite busy with family stuff.

I spoke of this pickup configuration once as a fantasy and I was chased out of the building. How is it in reality?

It seems like a logical combination to me. The neck pickup is a split humbucker, and the bridge pickup is a single-coil jazz, so it truely is a P-J configuration.

How does it sound? I don't know. I switched gears mid-build on this one, so it remains to be determined by the next owner.

I have it priced to sell. I won't consider trades valued at the asking price.

Standard Fender/Warmoth neck pocket. 4 lb-13oz for the body with pickups.

Thanks for the bumps and comments. Hopefully someone will come along soon and buy it. I probably should have put "telecaster style" in the title instead of Tele Bass, since a Tele Bass isn't really the same thing.
