Okay, seriously, this kinda hurts. I LOVE this neck. But everything is going in order to fund a '69 P Bass purchase.
This is an '84 MIJ Squier Bullet neck. I had this mounted on an early '70s P body (the Shell Pink one), and it was my main gig bass for a long time. If you like an "in-between" vintage P neck (not too thick, not too thin), this is as good as it gets. It's comfortable, worn-in, and plays like a dream. And looks cool doing it.
Some fret wear (not bad), couple dings but nothing that affects playing. It's had a Fender decal added (and "Deluxe" from a Telecaster decal), but that could be removed. Pencil date on the end is '84. Nut width is 1 5/8" (B). Comes with tuners and string tree. $200 shipped.

| | Registered Schmoozer. | | | | | For what it's worth, the maple neck (rosewood board) on my Japanese Fender Power Jazz Bass Special (an '88 or thereabouts) is one of the best I've ever played (this opinion is echoed by anyone who's ever tried it). Much nicer wood than I see on the modern necks, American made or otherwise, and stable.
If this is anything like mine, it'll be a great player. |

A local deal would have been nice. I think from now on I should check with all the local TBers before I sell anything....

I assure you, though, that the_art_guy's neck is in very good hands now.
