BigO's gone crazy pedal sale part II

Sign in to disble this ad
So it's time to clear out some more of the stuff that I'm not using. Here's a pic of what's currently up for sale:

The Heliotrope is back on my main board for now, the BMS is at EHX for repairs and the Robotalk 2 was returned. Everything else is available.

1. EBS TremoLo. $150 shipped
I dig this thing, but I'm not currently using it on my board. It has three wave shapes and two modes, normal trem and filter which lets the lows through unchanged for very thick and syrupy trem effects. Can be set up for stereo for really trippy effects. The only problem I have with it is a bit of extra noise when the depth is cranked in square wave mode. In pristine condition with the original box etc.

2. Tech 21 VT Bass $120 shipped - SOLD to tigerbass
You know it, you love it. It was exactly as advertised and is great for nailing vintage Ampeg tones as well as modern heavy OD/crunch but it just doesn't fit with what I want to do. Like new with original box etc

3. Maxon AF-9 $125 shipped - sold to Lindsay
Love this filter. But the 00Funk beat it out because it is better for synthy combos. Fat and greasy but doesn't completely overwhelm your tone. Low Pass, Band Pass and High Pass modes (though HP isn't really useful on bass). Got this one used and I still have the box, but the pedal has a small strip of velcro on the bottom. I may sell this to one of my guitar players who has shown some interest.

4. HAO Rust Ride $65 shipped - SOLD to Ant1977
Fantastic sounding heavy OD/distortion that does cut lows. I recommend it in the loop of a blender. Very aggressive sounding. In very good shape. Original box with velcro on the bottom.

5. OLC Chunky Cheese $125 shipped - SOLD to FreaqyFrequency

Faithful clone of the Lovetone Big Cheese. I made a thread with clips not too long ago. A great sounding fuzz (maybe my favorite tone) that just barely lost out to the more versatile Brown Dog. They sell for $170 prebuilt new though the wait was interminable. Mine is a bit unusual in that I asked for it in white. A great fuzz that can do gated sounds and works well with active basses.

6. Moog EP-1 $20 with either of the Moogs - SOLD to daikaiju

This is an expression pedal for Moogerfoogers. I'd prefer to throw it in for someone that buys the Ring Mod or Bass MuRF but would be willing to sell it separately if need be.

7. Moog Ring Modulator $195 shipped - SOLD to daikaiju
Probably my favorite ring mod of the ones I've tried. Can do fat, analog tremolo sounds, atonal ring mod stuff and weird bloops, blips and siren noises too. I wish I had more use for it because it is a lot of fun. In good condition but I did buy it used, so a power supply but no original box.

8. Moog Bass MuRF - $265 shipped - SOLD to Hollow Man
Got this one from eBay. It was missing the knob for the first slider when I got it and my guitar player managed to lose the second one. I need to shoot an email to Moog to see if they'll send replacements. But otherwise it functions fine. A sequenced resonance filter with plenty of patterns to step through. A very original sounding effect. Again, I wish I had more use for it. This one also has a power supply (and instructions) but no original box.

9. Wooly Mammoth clone $110 shipped. - SOLD to Green Mind

I didn't A/B them but it sounds like I remembered the real thing. After John Davis' comments I wanted to try it again with my active basses. It does work fine for synth stuff but as a normal fuzz it is much better with passives. No box or directions for this DIY pedal.

10.MXR Bass Octave Deluxe $120 shipped - SOLD to Simon Langley

A great octaver with plenty of tone shaping. Can be smooth or gritty and the mids switch helps it cut through a mix.

That's it for now. I'll be traveling a lot for work in the next few weeks so it may be the case that you have to wait a few days for me to ship but I'll get them out the door as soon as I possibly can. PM or post any questions. I don't really have anything specific I'm looking for in a trade other than maybe a Holy Fire but it never hurts to ask. Thanks.

Best of luck, I'd be buying but I really need to save for some ampage.

Yeah, I gotcha. Currently I'm saving for some six stringage, both of the bass and guitar variety.

What amp are you looking at?

In other news, the Rust Ride is officially sold to Ant1977

You had to wait until I became unemployed to put your Bass MuRF up for sale.

I actually joined a punk/surf band this weekend as a guitarist (the bass player is better than me). I'm thinking a fender deluxe reverb for big clean surf reverb.

I'm tempted on the Chunky Cheese, but I already have a gated fuzz and I need a delay more.

Your post timing is just cruel. Utterly cruel.

Back on topic the Bass MuRF is temporarily on hold for Hollow Man.

And sorry for any GAS pains. This song seems appropriate every time I post a for sale thread:

RE: your EBS tremolo: the noise you mention when depth is cranked in square wave mode would probably be far less of an issue if you just backed off the gain trimpot a touch

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try. One thing for me is that I like to set my trem a healthy bit above unity so that it stands out when engaged.
