Hi All,
Recently I sold an Eden Metro here on TB. However, during shipping across the country, it met a terrible fate. To make a long story short, it was returned to me in more pieces that it was sent. This story does have a happy ending, though, as the shipper has covered the damages.
Now I have bits of an Eden Metro laying about my basement. I'd like to get some cash together fast to buy Chef's L2K, so I need to move this stuff, pronto.
The speakers and crossover survived unscathed, here's a photo:
One of the speaker is original, one new (2008). Sold!!
The Tweeter - $25 shipped. (ON HOLD)
Crossover and L-pad - $20 shipped (ON HOLD)
The cabinet hardware and grille - $25 shipped (the grille will need a big box)
Here's the amp part.
They hit this thing so hard that, in addition to breaking the cabinet, the heavy torrodial transformer broke loose and bounced around amongst the electronics. No idea what works or doesn't. It looks as though the solid state preamp board survived pretty unscathed.
No idea what this is worth. How about $40 plus shipping (the transformer is heavy)?
Feel free to PM me an offer on any or all of this stuff.
Cheers,
Russ

| | | | Are those 10" speakers? What part number or model? I'm wondering if they are the same speakers as a Eden 410XLT?

The Metro is basically a 210XLT with an amplifier attached, so these speakers should be identical to those used in a 210 XLT or 410 XLT.
The new one is marked:
EC 1016XL4
Made in USA
01/07/2008
The old one has a faded stamp on the back that I am unable to read, but looks identical.

Based on how they handled this, I will not hesitate to use them again. Everyone has a bad day, it's what you do about it that counts.
This thing must have really taken a hit, because the plywood of the bottom port was smashed and stove in an inch or two. I was going to try to repair it, but when I stripped the carpeting off, it started coming apart in my hands.

Russ | That's OK.
I looked inside my 410XLT for the first time just now. The speakers in mine are 8 ohm EC 1060XL, so they don't match your number. No matter though. If I got them it would be for a 210 cab I have that needs some better speakers.

Russ | I really like Fed Ex, always have, but they did damage two items I shipped recently. One was an amp head, the other a bass. Both recipients said that I had packed the items well. To Fed Ex's credit, they paid both claims quickly. I had to fill out claim forms, provide proof of value, and fax them the paperwork, then they paid within a week or so.

It's really tempting...but do I need another project...
EDIT: Now I see the shorn-off power resistors near the headphone jack area.
