Boss Micro BR digital recorder for sale

$200 takes all but shipping not included

Only a couple of months old. Used it for about 2 hours. Thought this would get me into recording some, but “not” as it turns out. So this baby must go since I do not use it.

All original and as new condition.

I am including two items that were purchased separately:
1) 9V power supply adapter
2) Sony stereo ECM-DS70P microphone that the BR powers so you can record your band perfromances. I am not into being the recording geek for such either.

Comes with the Boss BR 128 MB SD card that is proved with the recorder. Can be powered by 2 AA batteries but they don’t last long hence the purchase of the additional 9V power supply adapter.

For details see the boss site at:

Can I ask how well the mic works with this unit?

It does take just a little tinkering to get the levels right, but once set it sounds as good as the Zoom H2 IMO, but I didn't save the one recording I made of a band pratice. I seem to recall finding on the web some sound samples where people used to it do live records of bands and such. There are definitely reviews of people using the Micro BR to do live recordings with positive feedback, which is why I bought the unit in the first place. I would not have bought the Micro BR in the first place had it not been able to record live performances in stereo. The Zoom H2 is easier to "plug and play (record I guess I should say)" when recording live stereo from a mic but the Micro BR is infinitely more versital for recording actual multitracks and you have the ability to substantially set levels for live stereo recordings with BR that you don't with the Zoom...was trying to kill these two birds with one recorder but I am just not into doing either myself, hence the sale. Good question but looking again at you question I really didn't answer it...

edit:

The mic works great...per above sounds as good IMO to the Zoom H2.

Just wanted to add to your listing that I bought a Micro BR a few weeks ago and in addition to being a recorder that works really well (I traded my H2 for it), it is a GREAT practice tool, between the drum machine and the phrase trainer.

I also want to chime in these things are just WAY cool, as I have one myself. I use
it mostly to rip practice CD's and as a play-along unit, but the rest of the stuff in there
makes this amazing for what it costs!
