SO this is a fine example of why you don't to GC under the influence. I was in the literature section and I saw a book called "Building Walking Bass Lines". I thought to myself " I want to build better walking bass lines". So I bought the book. Two days later when I got around to looking in the book I realized it is all in standard notation. My dumb ass has yet to learn to read music.......

Why not give it a try? Really, if you have any ear at all you can play at least the first exercises without being able to read, just play along to the music. And quite a bit of it in just in chords anyway.

I have only just started the book, can't really read bass clef, but am doing ok.
