| Carvin Bolt On 5 String Project / Parts / Body / Neck
Bought this locally as a potential project, but just don't have the time and am clearing out things I will never got to. It is one of the Carvin Kit basses, I believe. Poorly finished by PO with varnish or something similar...sands off fairly easily.
Swamp Ash body...very lightweight...nice condition but has four small holes from thumbrests they were apparently once installed. Two above the J pup, and two between the J pup and the neck just above the E string area...preamp, J pup and HB pup included. Preamp controls all work well...includes knobs and switch for the humbucker pickup...it was set up for single coil/humbucker switching.
Neck is great: ebony fingerboard with only minor fret wear...truss works well. Also poorly finished, but easily sanded off. Loaded with black Carvin Tuners and neck plate & screws.
