I haven't seen many of these. At least charcoal stained bodies. But this one caught my eye. So much so that I bought it without paying attention to the ad stating that it was not new. It sure looked new in the photos.
I don't know the brand. Cosmetically, it's a 9.5. Very immaculate and the top grain is very pretty.
The body is a alder with a maple flame top. A pick guard has not been installed and there are no pick guard holes. However there were other things done:
1. The pickup cavity was enlarged (probably to accommodate a hum bucker)
2. The electronics cavity was elongated and
3. There were two attempts to install a bridge.
4. There was a hole drilled for a side mount jack. It's a correct drilling both in size and placement.
Any P-bass pickguard WILL cover the small chips along the lip of the routings. Any standard fender bridge will cover the holes that were drilled for the bridge. So all of these imperfections will be covered.
The neck pocket is exact for a P-bass neck or a Warmoth. Those are two necks I have here at the house and I was able to put them in to check the neck pocket routing. If you own either neck, you'll be in the money.
I need $75 shipping included the price to anywhere in the Continental US. If you don't live in the us, I'll re-calculate the shipping with a $12 credit.
