I ended up with 3 Hipshot ultralite y-tuners on my bass and a Hipshot ultralite Xtender. This is all the hardware I bought along the way (along with the original Grovers from my bass).
(1) Hipshot ultralite y-key tuner. Reversible. Some wear. $15 shipped.
(2) Left (2) Right Grover Tuners. $26 shipped.
These are great tuners. "Black nickel finish" has held up pretty well over the last 4 years I've owned it, although there is some pitting which the flash exaggerates in one of the photos, but gives you a detailed "microscope" look at what's going on. Under natural light they look like the other pictures, with some wear. They are great, US-quality tuners. I'm only getting rid of them because I like my Xtender now and my vanity says all my tuners must match in finish!
(4) In-line left chrome Gotoh tuners. $30 shipped.
These are in great shape.
(3) Left (2) Right Gotoh-style tuners from a US Peavey Cirrus. $25 shipped.
