So, I tried chromes on my Washburn Stu Hamm and am not a fan. We played six songs. They are cut for a 2x2 headstock.

Any takers?

Price...$10 to PayPal or send me something cool!!

great price but I do have to say that Chromes don't get good for about a month ... Way too zingy when they first go on for my uses... If I needed a set in 2x2, I'd snag 'em...

I played the same bass last night with my standard AEB string of choice...D'Addario EXP Phospher Bronze. I am set to jet. The chromes are great on the finger tips, but the individual piezo saddles on the Stu Hamm don't play nice with the flats.

C'mon, somebody with a Grabber or a Ripper NEEDS these!!!

oh AEB... For that use laBella Nylon Tapes! I'm up to 5 piezo bassses not - only the Kala UBass doesn't use the LaBellas.

Had to go find the Stu Hamm bass - damn! That looks pretty cool. What to the three knobs do ? Vol & 2 band EQ ?

On my Tacoma, I yanked the piezo undersaddle pickup and installed a K&K Pure Western set that fit onto the bridge plate inside. Very, Very warm and woody. I'm thinking about adding a different and hopefully better undersaddle pickup and using the K&K Dual Channel it in for a little more punch.

I'm going to have to find an SH to play ... very nice! and while this ain't the right forum, ... uh, sound samples please!
