Complete Set of Tubes for Ampeg SVT-VR

Sign in to disble this ad
Complete Set of Factory Ampeg SVT-VR Tubes (Pre and Power)

Three 12AX7 and Two 12AU7 Preamp Tubes
One 12AX7, and Two 12AU7 Driver Tubes
Six 6550 Power Amp Tubes

All Sovteks
Probably 30-40 hours on them
Sounded great – No issues at all with any of them

Carefully removed from a fairly new SVT-VR when I upgraded recently to all JJ’s and Winged C’s (didn’t notice a huge difference to be honest, but I just had to try…)
I was careful to note which tubes were from which position, so that they can be placed in the correct place by you. This is important as the preamp tubes do not need to be balanced, but the driver tubes do.

Price reduced from $125 to $110 and now $100 shipped for the ENTIRE set!!!
(that’s about $250 worth of tubes if you bought them new)

Thanks for looking,

-John

Forgive me if this is an amateur question, but are these tubes compatible with an all tube SVT-IIpro?

Almost, these tubes from the SVT-VR include:

Four 12AX7, Four 12AU7, and Six 6550

The SVT 2 Pro uses:

Five 12AX7, Three 12AU7, and Six 6550

So you would have a leftover 12AU7 and you'd have to buy another 12AX7 (about $10 new).

You still got the tubes? Did you buy the amp brand new? I am interested if you are sure they only have 40 hours.
