Cool New Jazz Body Surf Green (fender spec)

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD....... Just an extra one here. This is an unused body in mint perfect condition. It's a nice surf green. I don't know the brand. The body weighs unofficially at 4.5 pounds.

Routes are complete and square. There were some holes drilled for the pick guard, control plate and bridge. The body is to fender spec. It will accommodate a jazz bass neck pickguard and control plate with most of the screws showing squarly under the items. But most important, the neck pocket is a fit.

I noticed that there were a couple of extra holes drilled. Don't know why. We didn't do it. But what I also did was include a picture of this with a standard pick guard over it. It's just an all parts pick guard. But I wanted you folks to see that the drill holes are not outside of the pick guard.

What's for sale? The body, with the strap pins and the neck plate. All in one. Not selling these things separately. The pick guard is not included.

Asking only $135 shipped. That's the body, with the neck plate and the strap pins thrown into the mix (complements of me) and shipped to your door insured conus all inclusive in the price. So what more do you want? A $5 voucher from Dominos pizza?

I LIKE PAY PAL.

Do not delay. Pictures below....

Is that relic'ing on the lower contour or flash from the camera?

I'd buy it if it was really surf green. It looks closer to foam green.

Mr. Packer Guy - That's reflection from the window. No relic-ing whatsoever.

To elgecko: It's called surf green by the guy that sold this to me and I realize everyone has a different interpretation of the name surf green. It's a bit lighter in tint than the photos. But not by much if that helps at all. Not so sure I understand the distinction between surf green and foam green or even turf green myself. But they all appear to be somewhat related. It's a very pretty color no matter what you call it. Someone will love this for sure. BTW...I think you know what the other related colored bodies are selling for these days. $250 and up. Warmoth wants nearly $300 for theirs.

Seafoam green generally has a hint more blue than yellow and Surf green generally has a hint more yellow than blue. Also, I've heard Surf green compared to the same class as 'baby blue' and 'baby pink'; so perhaps baby green??.

All subjective at best--especially coming from a blind man--but I shall not sway in my beliefs. So, take my descriptions as you wish.

I don't think it's Mighty Mite. But it's a very nice quality. The paint job is perfect and the routings as mentioned are 100% fender spec. Even to the screw holes for the bridge.
