Curtis Novak P Precision Pickup (Charlie Christian)

Sign in to disble this ad
Willing to trade for another P pickup like a Lindy or Nordstrand or SD Antiquity, etc. Hand made to order her in the USA by Curtis Novak. Pickup is nearly brand new with only two gigs on it. I also had to buy P pickup covers for the pickup as they were not included from Curtis Novak (don't ask me why). So why am I getting rid of it? It's a bit more old-school than I prefer. Description of the tone below.

More info ---> http://curtisnovak.com/pickups/pb-cc.shtml

Info, etc from the website:

This is a WAY cool new design I came up with. It has some of the design characteristics and tone of a Charlie Christian guitar pickup. Like a Charlie Christian, I use a heavier than standard gauge wire (38awg). This creates a much fatter coil, as you can see in the pictures, with a much lower resistance. I also am using P-90 style bar magnets rather than a standard Rod magnet.

These 2 features create a VERY FAT tone that over drives well, and creates very nice growl. But most importantly using the heavier gauge wire gets you all this without the extra midranges that most other over wound pickups give.

NOTE: This pickup is much taller than the stock P Bass pickup, but this requires NO mods and will fit in a stock P Bass route.

Trade pending. I'll reply back once I know if the deal is either done or didn't pan out.

As you can see, the TBer w the trade offer backed out . Now for sale. 105 shipped which includes the pickup covers I bought. New this would cost you a lot more because of the cost of the pickups plus shipping plus the covers from elsewhere and shipping on those.
