For those that have never used this unit:

You can use it like a regular effects pedal by plugging bass in the front of the compressor and cable from output to amp.
Very quiet and sound very musical IMO.
Will also give plenty o' boost if needed.
You can also leave them plugged in for years; built like a tank; I use mine daily.

I have one of these in my rig, and i love it. Theres only 2 controls on it, it's very convienent to change on the fly without getting lost in a sea of knobs.
