Dimarzio Jazz PAF Beige Set 70's

These were in my '66 Jazz when I got it, the Fender pickups were in a box. There's a reason for that. I also swapped the BAII for the stock bridge because I figured since it wasn't sounding as good, might as well let the strings flop around more. I'm a sucker for stock. Always thought I'd have the chance to put these in something, still haven't, so here you go:

I'll wipe off the vintage grime if you want me to.

I believe that these are Model J's
PAF is a term for older Gibson guitar pickups

Patent Applied For stickers were applied to the back of these pickups (they happen to be removed in this case)

Yeah, those are Model Js, perhaps these are such early ones that Dimarzio was applying for a patent on the hex screw pole pieces design? In any case, bump for the jazz bass pickup I've been using for 22 years. They really rock, and can still jazz it up too.

I always wondered what exactly the patent was for...or if they got it...

Yeah, I'm totally guessing there, and I'd buy these if i had another Jazz. Good luck with the sale.

The PAF stickers were also on the Precision pickups they made, so it probably is something mechanical like that.
