I've got a set of DR Hi-Beam Stainless Steel Flatwounds that were barely strung up on my P-Bass. Had local shop put the strings on when I was having some annual setup done on my P-Bass (I believe they charged me $45 for the strings) and went ahead with the setup - but they conveniently didn't let me know that the neck was twisted until after I paid for the set up and new strings. Ugh.
Bad business practices aside, I've only had the strings on the P-bass for a few weeks, and maybe only half an hour of playing on them. The Perfect Bass has the
strings listed for $40.
