EMG BQC system

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!! $90 shipped in lower 48. Paypal preferred.

Had this in my Spector for a couple months then sold the bass. Has master volume, blend, stacked bass/treble, stacked mid/mid frequency. Also adjustable internal controls for treble freq. Includes original boxes, cheap plastic knobs, instructions, etc.

Generic info from their web site:

For EMG pickups only, the BQC System features a pre-wired balance control (blend) and master volume with both the bass and treble on a concentric pot as well as the mid-control. All the EQ controls and balance control feature center detents.

If you're interested in shipping to Canada, this could be sold right now!

PM replied. All knobs are included although as others have noted they are not the best. Would recommend an upgrade to metal knobs.

These are great preamps, very functional.
And just an FYI: The BQC System can be converted to the Control, so you can use it with normal pickups (instead of just EMG or active).

That sounds useful. Do you have a link for the process?

Cheers,
C.

That's the instruction sheet. Just look at the two setups and you can figure it out...

It's kind of a long-story-short explanation, but basically, the SYSTEM includes the pan pot and volume wired to it already.
The CONTROL is the same as the SYSTEM, but without the pan/volume. Those are just mounted to a board for convenience, I guess.

On any preamp, you have an INPUT, OUTPUT, and GROUND...
The BQC has a white INPUT, black GROUND, and green OUTPUT.

1) If you have a couple volume pots or a pan pot, connect the WHITE from the BQC to the OUTPUT of that existing setup.

2) Make sure you ground everything properly (BLACK wires connected to the bridge ground).

3) GREEN goes to the tip of the output.

4) Connect all RED wires together and make sure they go to the red wire of the battery clip.

I've done this a few times. Worked fine for me!
