An Allparts bound and blocked jazz bass neck.
Bought it new, and sent it in for a pro setup. Then I decided to have a few more things redone.
The back contour, frets and fret ends were completely reworked by Grandon Westlund, "The Bass Kahuna"

Take a close look at the picture "click for full size" and check out the action, and the fret ends. That alone shows what a excellent job Grandon did. I know I'll be sending my guitars to him from now on. The man is a real pro.
He rolled the edges of the binding.
Reshaped the back, getting it much closer to a 62 jazz contour.
He finished the back with a couple coats of tru oil, leaving a softer worn in feel.
The fingerboard is nice and dark, almost looks like ebony. It has a better slap tone than most rosewood boards I've played.
It's a wonderful neck guys. Probably the nicest Allparts neck you'll find, or play anywhere.
I bought it new, 5 months ago for 250.00, and the extra setup cost was another 200.00. I would like to get some of that $$ back, considering it's a custom job, and practically new.
I should add; The holes in the pocket were drilled the right way, with a drill press. And it fit my AV 62RI nice and tight.
