This is a nice B. Hefner
2-piece "swamp ash" Jazz Bass body up for sale. You can see them here:
http://edenhaus.com/bass.htm. This one is used of course, but it has never had a pickguard installed. The body just as shown weighs about 4 lb 12 oz. Copper foil shielding has been installed. I did have the copper foil on the sides of the pickup routs as well, but the pickups fit in the holes too tightly with the foil on the sides of the routs. I soldered a small piece of copper foil at the end of the bridge ground wire. As you can see, it has had a couple of different bridges on it. Any vintage style Fender or aftermarket bridge (such as the BAII) with the five hole pattern will go right on and cover everything underneath. It has thin poly clear coats, but not a thick build up. The grain still shows through the finish. Only minor scratches and a few tiny nicks, no deep scratches or big nicks. Neck pocket is the standard 2 and 1/2 inches wide and about 5/8 inches deep. A standard Fender neck fits well on this body. Needing $100 shipped to the 48 states.
