For sale is the brand new onboard preamp that came straight from the factory on my Carvin Icon 5. This is the new & improved preamp that has come standard on all Carvin Icon & LB models since 2007.

Features:

* Passive mode - includes master volume and pickup blend controls.

* Active mode - includes master volume, pickup blend, plus stacked concentric boost & cut control for bass & treble frequencies, and stacked concentric control for midrange frequency cut/boost & sweep.

* Operable on either 9-volt or 18-volt power

Any idea on the specs? Frequency centers, cut/boost dB, etc? I did a quick Google, but didn't find anything...

Here you go:

Bass: +/- 18dB @ 30Hz
Treble +/- 18dB @ 10kHz
Mid sweep +/- 15dB @ 100Hz to 2.2kHz, (center click @ 550Hz)
Internal trim pot adjustment = > 6dB

The volume is push/pull to activate and deactivate the circuit right? true bypass???

The module is comprised of two small circuit boards, each one containing two pots - one for the master volume + blend, the other for the stacked bass/treble + stacked midrange/sweep.

On each board, the spacing of the control shafts is about 1 5/8 inches.
