SOLD! F/S: DELANO PMVC 4 FE/M2, P bass pickup: Almost new, still in the box. I had this in one of My P basses for about a week. It is a really nice pickup, but a bit hotter and more modern sounding than I like. Asking $100.00 shipped US, Paypal.

Very interested..Could you elaborate a little on it's tonal range? Modern as in 'MM' type bite/snarl? Or modern jazz-ish?

Somebody should jump on this deal - soon. I own a set of the Jazz Bass version of this one - the JMVC 4 FE/M2 - and they're excellent: powerful, clean, super-punchy...and yes, modern.

If I owned a Precision Bass and was in the market for a new pickup, it'd be between this one and the Bill Lawrence P46...

This is going to sound closer to a "MM" pickup in the upper midrange, but with a fuller fundamental and a thicker lower midrange like a P bass. The treble is remarkably crisp for a P pickup in the neck position. I tried the 5-string version of this pickup and it really had a nice transient attack, and almost seemed to anticipate the notes as I was hitting the strings. It's a very responsive pickup.
