I'm considering parting out my Reggie Hamilton PJ Jazz Body. The
3-Tone Sunburst Alder Body has the Stock Fender pickups. It has a Aguilar OBP-2, 2-band Preamp (18V), passive / active switch, a Fender CIJ 62RI Jazz neck. The cavities are shielded with shielded tape. I can sell w or w/o the preamp. I will supply a Control Plate and Knobs if you decide you do not want the preamp. However, you'll need to get volume / tone pots for the control plate.
Note: I really like the neck and I'm thinking I'm going to keep the neck. So, for now it's not for sale......maybe later!
The body is in very good condition. There is a piece of poly (not wood) that came off on the treble side by the neck / body joint about the size of a nickel / quarter. I actually used a BLK permament marker to blacken the wood so it isn't very noticable. I'll try to get some close-up pix soon!
At one time I was picking up a radio staion in active mode only and I installed a capacitor across the preamp active / passive switch and haven't notice it since. I will check it again. I check it this moring and it was still picking up the FM a little (103.9 Raleigh). I installed a 100pF capacitor across the active / pasive switch and it really helped. IF I crank my Shuttle 9.0 approx. 3 O'clock (damm loud), and boost the treble treble max. it is barely audible, but w/ a OB2-2 Preamp the treble is useless in this area anyway because of hiss from the preamp. This preamp boosting the bass or treble slightly goes a long way.
