This is the original pickup that was in my 97 Warwick Corvette FNA. Worked fine when I swapped it out. Been sitting in the box the new p/u came in and I need some extra cash, so here it is. $60 shipped obo

To be honest, I'm not completely sure. The bass it came out of is active. I think it may be a case of, passive pickup with active electronics.....which I believe is how 90% of "active" basses are? I may be completely wrong though.

You are correct that 90% of active basses are passive pickups with active electronics. But I need an internally active pickup..such as EMG..to try out in my Peavey Millennium

The MEC MM pickup from the FNA series is not an active pickup. It is a passive pickup run through an active preamp. I previously owned three FNA's and I have to say that this is a very good pickup. I would say comparable to the similar Basslines model.
