OK, here’s the deal on this one.

I bought a NOS, 06/07 Fender American Standard P Bass w/S1 switching. This had to be one of the last ones produced with that configuration. This one was in my local shop's stockroom and just recently put out on the floor. The stock strings are still really bright so it has not peen played very much.

I have all the P Basses I need so I am keeping the neck and tuners and selling everything else as a bundle.

It will include:

• Fully loaded body including pickguard (plastic still on), pickups, pots and wiring, bridge, neck plate w/screws, strap buttons and string ferrules and strings.

• This is an alder body finished in gloss black with a white Pickguard (ala Geddy).

It is in mint condition except for a very few hairline scratches just above the controls and these are very hard to see unless you hold it at the right angle.

For reference, total bass weight w/neck is 8.33 lbs. on my shipping scale. Loaded body weighs 5.53 lbs.

Answers to some questions:

Yes, this is a brand new USA Fender body and ALL included parts.

The extra holes in the neck pocket are from the factory, CNC reference points, I imagine.

I may eventually part this out but I would like to try as a package first.

I did not think that an S1 switch on a P Bass was a great idea. Jazz, yes, but I figured I would never use it.

I was suprised to find that it does add an interesting tonal variation that is pretty cool.

Depressing the switch thins the tone a bit and it sits nicely in a some of my mixes.

I may have to find a way to add this to a PBass that I am keeping.

This one has it........bonus.

No, it is just the light, the slats from the chair make it look wierd but it's a genuine USA P Bass.
