ok, so i have been on a pickup buying escapade lately. ive been looking for the best match for an american 75 reissue fender. while doing so i have purchased the following.
seymour duncan antiquity 1's
lindy fralins
and these custom shop 60's
these fenders won out in the tone department over the duncans and fralins. to me, they sounded the most fender'ish of the bunch (duh theyre fenders). i have a 62 and 78 jazz and was looking for pickups that sounded vintage, not what someones new idea of what vintage is. these have been in my bass for around 2 weeks. i just bought a pair of fender originals and am going to use those. these come with all original packaging, uncut leads, grounding strips, unused mounting screw etc.
115 shipped.
now before anyone asks. if these are so great why am i selling them? im weird. fender used enamel wire after 65 and only used formvar before 65. so i said heck, its a 75 reissue lets put the only pickup i could find with enamel wire it it. that was the fender originals.
