Fender Grey Bottom Pickups-1970's-P bass
 

These original grey bottoms are in great shape. Very little use has been on these and they sound fantastic. No rust on the pole covers and long leads. Included is a brass grounding shield. I was told these were '73's, no idea how to confirm that.

I believe it's the last two digits that identify the year. Makes these a 76 set, but if I'm wrong, someone can correct me. I have a set of date coded, grey bottom Jazz pickups. Last digits 74. What I do know is that out of about a zillion sets of pu's put in my Jazz, the greys are best yet. I bet these P pickups sound incredible. Free bump. An good luck!

I am not sure I heard the 1st digit was the month, the second 2 was something and the 4th was the year, so '73-but I maybe wrong to.

Someone else feel free to chime in if you like, they did sound great but I am sure someone would like to know the exact year before buying.

From '72-ish on up, the last two digits are always the year, so '76 they are! And they usually do sound great... ;-)
